About Me

Virginie Taylor (born Serneels) is a theatre practitioner specialising in video and lighting design, based in London, UK.

I’m particularly keen to work on collaborative and devised, overtly political fringe shows.

I have an experimental approach to video design, and love to mix different techniques, analogue and digital, such as motion graphics, hand drawing, live-feed, filmed content, liquid light show footage and stop motion animation.

I have designed for theatre, dance, music and opera: please get in touch for a full list of credits.

I also work as a theatre technician, often as technical stage manager on tour, and as follow spot and lighting operator in the West End.

I’m also keen on taking part in community outreach projects and education, in an effort to make theatre a more diverse and inclusive space.

I’m a graduate of Central Saint Martins – MA Art & Science – and the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama – BA Theatre Practice: Theatre Lighting Design.
